Celebrate National Pie Day with a slice of pie and a storybook!

It’s National Pie Day giving you a wonderful reason to indulge in a yummy pie! Not that anyone really needs a reason to enjoy some pie. In honor of the day, for those of you in Michigan, Grand Traverse Pie Company is celebrating by offering a free slice of pie with a purchase. Who doesn't like free pie?! Or, better yet, why not gather the ingredients together along with your children and/or spouse and get creative in the kitchen and make a pie to suit your tastes. Creating together as a family in the kitchen is an incredible bonding and memory building activity. Additionally, baking a wonderful way to include math in your child’s day without making it a boring lesson and while your delectable creation is baking, you can cozy up with a pie themed story.
